KingLand Strengthens Manufacturing Quality Through 2026 Production Skills Competition

On September 19, 2026, Guangdong KingLand Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. held a quality-focused skills competition at its filling workshop. The event was designed to strengthen production standards, operator skills and quality awareness across the manufacturing team.

Rather than focusing only on theoretical knowledge, the competition tested practical skills used in daily production. Employees completed two challenges covering standardized assembly and finished-product defect detection.

For KingLand, activities like this are part of an ongoing effort to build quality control into everyday manufacturing operations.

Turning Production Standards into Practical Skills

Consistent manufacturing depends not only on equipment and inspection systems. The people operating production lines also need to understand procedures, identify abnormalities and follow production standards accurately.

For this reason, the first part of the competition focused on practical assembly skills.

Participants were required to complete the assembly of a brake system maintenance kit within a specified time. The assessment considered operating procedures, process familiarity, completion speed and compliance with standardized working methods.

The challenge reflected tasks that production employees encounter in their normal work. It also provided an opportunity to review operating details and identify areas for further improvement.

Testing the Ability to Identify Product Defects

The second challenge shifted the focus from assembly to quality inspection.

Participants had to inspect products within a limited time and identify units containing common production defects. The exercise covered eight defect categories:

  • Cap defects
  • Can body defects
  • Missing red spray tube
  • Incorrect cap
  • Exposed metal or paint damage
  • Poor production code printing
  • Insufficient weight caused by inadequate propellant filling
  • Insufficient weight caused by inadequate product filling

This exercise tested more than inspection speed. Employees also needed to recognize small abnormalities accurately and distinguish conforming products from defective ones.

Such defect-recognition skills are particularly relevant in filling and packaging operations, where visual details, component selection, coding and filling weight can all affect finished-product quality.

Combining Speed, Accuracy and Standardized Operations

KingLand evaluated the participants according to several aspects of their performance. These included completion speed, operating compliance and result accuracy.

After both rounds, the company selected first-, second- and third-prize winners. KingLand also presented certificates and awards to recognize their performance.

However, the purpose of the activity extended beyond selecting winners.

By recreating practical production and inspection tasks in a competitive setting, the manufacturing team could review daily working practices from a different perspective. Employees could identify gaps, reinforce operating standards and improve their awareness of details that influence product quality.

Quality Control Starts on the Production Floor

At the conclusion of the event, KingLand Manufacturing Center Production Director Han Xuedong emphasized the importance of maintaining quality throughout daily production.

His message focused on a practical principle: every process and operational detail can influence finished-product quality and customer delivery.

This is especially important for contract manufacturing projects. Customers rely on a manufacturer not only to produce the required formula and packaging, but also to maintain consistent execution during repeated production.

Therefore, production quality requires continuous attention at multiple stages—from standardized operating procedures to in-process inspection and finished-product checks.

The skills competition provided another way for KingLand to reinforce these principles among frontline production employees.

Supporting Consistent OEM & ODM Manufacturing

KingLand plans to continue production training, quality self-inspection and practical skills activities across its workshops and production lines.

For OEM and ODM customers, these internal activities provide additional context for how KingLand approaches manufacturing quality. Equipment and quality systems remain important, but effective execution also depends on trained employees who understand production standards and can recognize potential defects during daily operations.

By combining standardized processes, practical training and quality inspection, KingLand continues to strengthen the manufacturing foundation behind its automotive care and chemical product programs.
